Art is a process of discovery – for me and for the viewer. If someone discovers something new about their world by looking at one of my pieces, I’ve done my job.

I seem to be hard-wired to create art in bodies of work. I think of each body of work as a new language that I'm learning. Each new painting teaches me more about its vocabulary and rules of grammar.
